I got the oppurtunity of a lifetime to go to the Mall with my siter in law and it was super fun for me ( hopefully she had fun too). I tried on some crazy dresses and took pictures. So here they are and I am seriously wishing I had got the neon yellow one. I was inspired to do this by CJane. She had this whole elaborate video of her trying on dresses for her Father's Day gift for her husband - super funny. I really want to go Wedding Dress shopping for fun, any takers?

July 12
Took the kids to Joann's today to fulfill the pinkie promise I made. I got such a good deal on this bunch of ribbons. They got a pack of Sculptey clay. Awesome stuff. It is really easy to mold and sculpt for little hands and you bake for 275 for 15 minutes and wha-la it done. So easy. I could get lost in a craft store for days and so can the kids. They love to see all the crafts and ideas.
Here are some things I was doing after Joann's. Notice the lovely Discounted Ribbon. This a late birthday present for a dear girl who I also Visit Teach. Why are most of my birthday presents late birthday presents? Anyway I love this Bath and Body Works scent Be Enchanted.
And I finished this gem of a book 'Midnight in Austenland' by Shannon Hale. Love this author I have now read all of her books. The first Austenland was good too. Both were really funny and absurd and perfectly awkward, loved it. Now I am reading Jessica Day George books.

Babysitting at Manda's
The Production
The Boys were dressed to kill. The girls were dressed to the hilt. The script was finely crafted. The scene was set. The score was finely tuned. The rest is history.

Wednesday July 11th
Here's a sampling of some of the things we did today at the
'Compound'.
Little A, Lanster and cousins building a fort of some kind - Elf? Fairy?
Pike cleaning out the car for his Mum. Look how happy he is!
Tink and cousins 'looking cute' as I always tell them to before I take a picture. I love how S immediately left and tried not to be in the pic but I ended up capturing a funny moment of him "looking cute".
Acorn
Lanster's Fuzzy Friend
Acorn's Music Video
Acorn has become his own person, he loves his "dada" and has his own sayings and songs. He first appeared when Grandma and Grandpa Styer came to visit. He was a Ninja Chipmunk and he has since developed into quite the prankster and instigator. It has been interesting to see what Acorn says and how he feels...it is almost like Acorn is Lansters alter-ego....

Camping at First Landing Park
This is what camping at Va Beach looks like for our family. What an amazing trip. The first day was so hot and still - no waves at all (all pics are from first day). After the topical storm went through that night the waves picked up on the second day at the beach (no pics that day - had to keep both eyes open). We will definitely go back - thanks Kath for the tip. We also Hiked around the trails and saw some interesting wild life and Spanish moss in the swamp. Most exciting pet was a sea hermit crab. Most surprising event was our tent not collapsing and our tent not being struck by lightning after midnight when the storm rolled through.Or maybe M packing such healthy snacks for the cooler on the beach, debatable. Funniest moment was trying to wake Jordan up as we were fleeing to safety of the car in the middle of the night-couldn't wake her properly had to drag her up!
We got some glorious sun and had so much fun and we loved being together - now that's how to celebrate Tink and Pike's BDays.
Happy 10th Pike!!
Since we went to the beach and camped for Tink and Pike's Bday we had an immediate family party with an awesome mousse cake. Pike is such a good boy. I am so proud of him and all his glorious ten years that he has lived on this earth.
For his present he picked out a lego monster train, it was pretty awesome.
